#MaskOnSFO! Masks are still required for everyone when at the Airport. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is extending the face mask requirement for individuals across all transportation networks throughout the United States, including at airports, onboard commercial aircraft, on over-the-road buses, and on commuter bus and rail systems through September 13.

SFO is proud to share the Grand Hyatt at SFO has been honored nationally for its collaboration construction approach. In their 2020 Awards, the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) recognized the Grand Hyatt at SFO with a National Award of Excellence in the "Commercial/Office" category.

Want to try a taste of San Francisco’s culinary history? Boudin Bakery makes its sourdough using the same mother dough cultivated from a gold miner’s sourdough starter. Pick up fresh-baked sourdough bread, sandwiches, pizza, soup, and more. Located in International Terminal near Gate A2.

Raptor rescue! Last year #SFO started a pilot program to trap and relocate raptors (birds of prey) who are caught on Airport property. In the past few weeks, the program has safely relocated five red-tail hawks! This project is a collaboration with United and Audubon International's Raptor Relocation Network to trap and relocate barn owls and red-tailed hawks, two of our top five most-commonly struck species. This project aims to protect both birds and planes to achieve safer skies for all flyers.

It takes a village to battle a pandemic. The Grand Hyatt at SFO recently donated their unusable linen* to It Takes A Village Bay Area (ITAV) volunteers to make reusable masks for healthcare workers and communities in need. Last week ITAV passed 50,000 masks made and donated!

Mask up Monday Everyone must wear a mask or facial covering while at SFO. A properly worn covering, over nose and mouth, is required to receive service from all providers and air carriers at SFO.

Featuring the work of artist Joe Overstreet (1922-2019), Tunnel A/B (which connects #HarveyMilkTerminal1 and Domestic/Hourly Garage) reopens on November 3. The tunnel features a restored art installation created by Overstreet in the mid-1980s, and the installation invokes ideas of flight, motion, direction, determination and advancement.

Once again, United offers nonstop service between SFO and Shanghai! The route connects the two sister cities of San Francisco and Shanghai the first sister city partnership between the United States and China which are currently celebrating the 40th anniversary of the founding of this friendship. Additionally, United flies nonstop from SFO to 15 international cities and more than 50 cities across the United States. #OnwardAndUpward

A new study from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health finds the risk of COVID-19 transmission onboard a plane is ‘reduced to very low levels.
