Hello students, followers, alumni,and sponsors, The San Diego Christian College Flight Team needs your help. The Flight Team has been invited to compete in the National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA) SAFECON championship in Madison, Wisconsin in May. The team is challenged to raise $20,000 in 3 months to cover training, registration, living expenses, and flying our aircraft 1,600 miles from San Diego to Wisconsin. This is the tenth time since 2008 that our school... has received a bid to compete on a national level. Last year, our Flight Team placed 10th in the nation moving up from 17th and winning the Collegiate Aviation Progress Award. Although SDCC has been considered the national underdogs and is only a quarter the size of the next smallest college at the NIFA championships, our performance at these events is a testimony to the skill and motivation brought by our students. Flight team has always counted on the generous tax-deductible donations of friends and family along with corporate sponsorships. Congrats to our SDCC Hawks Flight Team! They have earned a trip to the National College Flying Championships (NIFA) in Madison, Wisconsin this coming May. After achieving 3rd place at the NIFA Region II last November, it has been confirmed that the SDCC Flight Team will advance to the NIFA Championship. #GOHAWKS
