Happy Birthday Riley!! Yay for 12. Never a dull moment with this kid, and he never stops amazing us. Last night during his 50th straight loss in basketball, he made 14 of their 22 points. No matter what, he never gives up. He wears mix-matched shoes and socks and doesnt care what anybody thinks. The wallpaper on his phone right now isn't Cody or Corey or Kawhi, it's Martin Luther King. I know we're supposed to be teaching our children but there's a lot to learn from this one. These candles are my favorite thing in the shop right now. I usually don't lean towards candles for holiday gifts because it just seems too easy. But not these candles, these are very complex and absolutely gorgeous. These long burning soy candles are handmade with crystals, wild crafted herbs and flowers. Shallots are really kind of a next level ingredient in the kitchen. They are in the same family as garlic and onions, but are their own thing. They grow in bulbs and clusters similar to garlic but the flavor is closer to an onion. Shallots are more subtle and delicate in flavor. They also caramelize better than traditional onions. This weeks produce basket also includes: zucchini, cherry tomatoes, early girl tomatoes, chard, broccolini, salad mix, white onions, parsley and, purple, green, and black kale.
