What in the world is that weird thing they’re doing?! Who’s heard of a forward leaning inversion? doing inversions every day can help you lengthen and ...soften your uterine ligaments, as well as help resolve any twist in the lower uterine segment. The weight of baby and uterus streeeeetches out those ligaments to reduce torque and helps baby get into a great position for birth. For more in depth info about this position and others, head to Spinning Babies ! This and other positions will be featured in our Labor Positions class releasing shortly! Sign up for updates on the launch! https://www.motherboardbirth.com/childbirth-ed More info on inversions here: https://spinningbabies.com//the/forward-leaning-inversion/

To all my pregnant and nursing friends: this is the bombest nursing position! Especially when you’re TIRED. Edit: I did not expect this to get shared so many times. If anyone can find he original creator, please let me know so I can give them credit and link their page. Thank you!

#repost @bornwithlovebirth This is something I talk with clients about often prenatally. People ask me all the time, they know it’s best for baby to delay t...he cord clamping but why? @mind_body_woman described it well, thank you ! I would also add that at any given time in pregnancy and in labor that the remaining blood that is in the placenta is being re-oxygenated and collecting nutrients to deliver back to baby. For this reason it is vital for the cord to continue to pulse for as long as possible. When all of the blood has been delivered to baby, you will notice a flimsy, white cord instead of the dark, kinky cord that was present before. This is a great visual to grasp the time frame that this may happen. #bornwithlovebirth #informedbirth #delayedcordclamping #amazingplacenta #pregnant #expectantparents #informedparenting #Repost @mind_body_woman with @get_repost Delayed cord clamping! Look at what happens over time when you allow the blood to drain from the placenta back into your baby. It’s amazing. When a baby is born they only have 1/3 of their blood volume, the rest is in the placenta. Delayed cord clamping increases iron your baby will have access to during the first year of life When should you clamp and cut the cord? When it stops pulsing! If someone tells you 3-5 minutes, ask them why they said a specific number. Every cord drains at a different speed...there is no time requirement! We know the process is complete when the cord stops pulsing! @humanbirthproject . . . . . #delayedcordclamping #delayedcordcutting #intactbirth #empoweredbirthproject #empoweredpregnancy #birthwithconfidence #babylove #momitforward #ig_motherhood #cnm #whnp #ibclc See more
