Happy New Year, Happy New Recipes One thing I think we can all agree on, is that we’re fresh out of new inspirations for meals at home. I love going to new restaurants, trying new flavors that are not my own, and taking that inspiration back to my own kitchens to experiment. There hasn’t been much going out this past year so I have been reading countless food blogs & magazines, and listening to podcasts, looking for new ideas to inform my cooking. In the process, I’ve come a...cross tons of great recipes that I now have in my regular meal rotation at home. Below are a few of my favorites, perfect for the New Year. I hope you enjoy! Mushroom Lardons with Black-Eyed Peas and Greens This lovely recipe is from one of my favorite cookbooks of 2020, 'Umami Bomb' by Raquel Pelzel. This take on 'hoppin' john' is perfect to make near New Year's Day when both collard greens and black-eyed peas are traditional. Serve with a simple wild rice pilaf and/ or cornbread to make it a well-rounded meal.
