New Beer Alert! The long-awaited next installment in our 5X Series is finally here: 5X IPA! 5X IPA is a Quintuple IPA brewed with Bru-1, Citra, Mosaic, Centennial, and Cascade hops that clocks in at a whopping 17% ABV. Those familiar with our 5X beers will know that despite tipping the scales, it drinks like a beer with half its gravity, and with an expressive bouquet of new world and old school hops it tastes like nothing you've had before. Vibrant, juicy flavors of mang...o, papaya, candied citrus, and fresh-cut pine envelop you from start to finish, and a crisp, full-bodied mouthfeel helps close out the show. 5X IPA will be available in the tasting room starting this Friday, 4/30, however, inventory will be very limited so we'd recommend pre-ordering yours on our website now. *Billy Mays' voice* BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! In addition to 5X IPA, we're also releasing an Organic IPA with a special cause at its core. Vanishing Beauty is our effort to rally support for the critically endangered Western Monarch Butterfly. Numbers of these majestic migrators have fallen from 4.5 million to 2,000 in just the last 40 years. Integral to the pollination of much of our local flora, these creatures must be protected at all costs, and a portion of the sales from Vanishing Beauty will be put to that use. Vanishing Beauty was brewed with 100% organic ingredients including Bravo, Simcoe, Sultana, Calipso, and Mosaic hops. Expect a light and crisp body buoyed by notes of grapefruit zest and a subtle floral medley. Five Years of Five Threads! This Saturday we'll be celebrating our 5th Anniversary, and we're back with a bang. Not only will we be releasing cans of our out-of-this-world tasty hazy IPAs Down Low and Space Madness, but Cherenkov, our yearly Anniversary Stout, makes its triumphant return. This year's batch just emerged from a year-long nap in Four Roses bourbon barrels after aging on Ecuadorian cocoa nibs and Madagascar vanilla beans. The end result is decadent layers of rich... chocolate, vanilla, caramel, and dark roasted coffee cut by the subtle warmth of borubon and oak. It's hands down the best version of Cherenkov we've made yet, and we can't wait for you to try it! You didn't think we just had awesome beer lined up, did you? We'll also have the culinary wizards at @gameovercatering serving up an amazing menu of Mexican classics with a modern spin. We'll be open from 10am - 12pm for to-go orders, then from 12pm - 8pm for dine-in service. We're incredibly excited to be able to pour pints once again, but as you might expext, there are some new rules and regulations we must follow: -Reservations for seating must be placed at least 24 hours in advance. You can book yours either online through Open Table, or by calling us at (805) 457-5990. -The maximum number of people per group is 6, covered outdoor seating only. Guests can stay no longer than 90 minutes per reservation. -One meal purchase is required for each guest. -Masks must be worn everywhere except the table you're seated at. Proper social distancing must be maintained at all times. No combining tables or groups. This 5th year has certainly been a strange one, but with this reopening we're slowly moving closer to whatever normal looks like these days. Nelson, with its notes of mango and gooseberry plays well with others, so we flew out Pacifica and Southern Cross as well. To complete the cross-cultural exchange we invited local favorites Amarillo, Citra, and Eukuanot Cryo to hang out and mingle. The end result of this gathering is smooth, silky, juicy, tropical flavor experience. That's right Threadheads, the powers that be have finally allowed us to reopen (again)! We're trying to make sure that we have the correct equipment and processes in place to make our re-reopening as safe and efficient as possible, so we'll be holding off on poured pints until next weekend. However, we'll still be open during our regular hours this weekend for to-go service only. Then, next weekend we'll be having our long-awaited 5 Year Anniversary!
