It’s TIKI NITE Tonight try the Life of Pablo...this cocktail’s title is inspired by Pablo Picasso. Did you know his favorite liqueur was Suze? Suze is a Swiss brand of bitters flavoured with the roots of the plant gentian, normally drunk as an apéritif. However, we combine this spirit with plantation pineapple rum, falernum, suze, lemon and basil to create a fantastically boozy yet balanced cocktail. Professor Funk Our riff on the Doctor Funk made popular circa 1950s by both Donn Beach and Trader Vic. Unlike a lot of tiki drinks , the Doctor Funk cocktail does in fact have Polynesian roots...The drink was invented by and named after Dr. Bernard Funk, a German physician who was a doctorand a bartenderin Samoa. He would actually prescribe this cocktail to his patients. Five Points’ Professor Funk is made with black rum & mezcal instead of the traditional white rum & absinthe. We add house-made grenadine & lime juice just like the original to tame those strong, smoky flavors of both the black rum & the mezcal. This drink is not for the faint-hearted; so if you’re feeling daring, bold and adventurous, dive in!

It’s TIKI NITE! Tonight, try a rum cocktail so popular it actually depleted the world’s rum supplies in the 1940s and 50s... *drumroll please* ...the Mai Tai. Originally invented by Trader Vic in Oakland in 1944, it has changed a lot throughout the decades. At Five Points, we honor the origins of this tiki tipple and won’t give you something that’s syrupy or overly sweet. Our Mai Tai has a distinctive balance of rich rums, nutty orgeat, fresh lime and dry orange curaçao. It’s simple, straightforward and delicious. We are open 4-11pm see you soon!
