First Christian Church Congregation Celebrates Its 140th Year! Will you join us? On Sunday, January 24, 2021, during our regular Church Worship Service at 10:30am, we will be sharing some of the history of the church and its founders, honoring our long-time members; as well as hearing some of their favorite and inspiring memories. We encourage those who would like to attend in person to practice social distancing; we will also live stream the service on You Tube under First C...hristian Church Red Bluff. On January 23, 2021, the congregation of First Christian Church in Red Bluff will celebrate its 140th year. The congregation was started in 1879 by the preaching of Evangelist James Logan, a wagon maker, and formally founded by 24 members on January 23, 1881. Our church building was completed in March of 1900; we still have many original items inside, including the original pews. In a statement by First Christian Church’s Pastor, Charles Knudsen, he states: We are represented by many generations; young and young at heart and we are excited to take on the New Year. We celebrate Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. with traditional to contemporary music, nursery, children’s ministry, and sermons that are relevant and Bible-centered. Jesus is our King and the Savior of the world! God is on the move and we will continue to love, support, and build up our community in the same way we have for almost 140 years!
