First Chapter Preschool

Blending is the ability to smoothly combine individual sounds together to make words, and it is a crucial step in becoming a fluent reader! Discovering this ability is over-the-top exciting! Why not have fun while you learn???

The Pumpkin Patches are full of Punkins, and so is my dining room table! We’re First Chapter, a Private At-Home Preschool offering 2 or 4 day sessions.

Over the years I have asked the parents of my students what they would like their children to have now and as adults, and one of the most common responses is to be responsible. Children learn to be responsible only when we give them opportunities to do so. At First Chapter Preschool, responsibility is both encouraged and celebrated- Every Single Day.

Helping children form a habit of reading is simply life changing-no matter what age they are. It starts with reading to them over and again until suddenly, one day, you walk around the corner, and there they are! Holding and enjoying a book they’ve chosen on their own. Small beginnings.

It always amazes me how much children learn when they participate in activities and engage in short conversations about letters and numbers every single day! #learningissomuchfun
