Join us tomorrow as we welcome Bro. Jim Wilson once again. This week's sermon will be on Meribah: A Watershed Moment Numbers 20:8-13; 24
Who Are You? A lot of times during a conversation with someone that you just met, you ask the question, who are you? This question may have different meanin...gs. It could mean, ‘what’s your name,’ ‘what is your profession,’ ‘who are your family members,’ or even ‘what do you do for a living.’ It depends on where you live and where this meeting took place. Who are you? Who is the true you? Who is the person behind all the masks, clothes and nice conversations? Who is the person that you see when you look at yourself on the mirror? The real you, not the facade that you put on to show everybody, hiding the real you. Yes, you must search who is the person underneath all the superficiality that you demonstrate towards others. Many times, we see people responding to this question who are you? based on an idea or dream, and other times, based on what they are doing. I am here to ask about the person behind all the make-up and filters, the true you. People try to say that they know who they are, but they are wrong. They know what they are doing, but not who they truly are. I am talking about your real identity, based on the person who created you. Do you really know who you are? I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof. (Isaiah 42:8, 10) This passage clearly exemplifies how we are supposed to act. It gives us a sense of belonging and existence. It gives us the reason why we were created and how we are supposed to live our lives. I am the Lord: that is my name means that God is more than my beloved, friend and counselor, but He is also my owner, Lord and King, and that all that I do needs to be towards Him. Is that how we are living? When people stop you on the street or at a party, asking ‘who are you,’ what are you going to answer? Are you going to tell them the name that your parents chose for you, your profession or who you truly are? As Christians, we must present ourselves as servants of the living God. Some people think that sharing their testimony is difficult and that requires a lot of effort. They are not right. It doesn’t matter how shy or timid you are, to share your testimony you just need to tell people who you are, with confidence, assurance and with strong conviction. I hope that when you find out who you are in the Lord, He will move your heart towards a great life with a new song to sing. Am I living the way I am supposed to live? Am I betraying myself? Who am I? I hope we can all stand, state and scream out loud who we are, servants of the mighty King Jesus, who will give their lives to accomplish God’s will on this earth. In Christ, Your Pastor, Glenn Bezerra

Jesus Vs. Santa Claus Why Jesus is Better Than Santa Santa lives at the North Pole...... JESUS is everywhere. Santa rides in a sleigh... JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water. Santa comes but once a year... JESUS is an ever present help. Santa fills your stockings with goodies... JESUS supplies all of your needs. Santa comes down your chimney uninvited... JESUS stands at your door and knocks, and then enters your heart when invited. You have to wait in line to see Santa... JESUS is as close as the mention of His name. Santa lets you sit on his lap... JESUS lets you rest in His arms. Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, what's your name?"... JESUS knew our name before we were born. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads. Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly... JESUS has a heart full of love All Santa can offer is HO HO HO... JESUS offers health, help and hope. Santa says "You better not cry"... JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you." Santa's little helpers make toys... JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions. Santa may make you chuckle but... JESUS gives you joy that is your strength. While Santa puts gifts under your tree... JESUS became our gift and died on a tree...the cross. We need to put Christ back in Christmas, Jesus is still the reason for the season. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). Shared by Ellis Pitman from Godvine

FBC Newsletter March 2020 As we Spring forward into Daylight saving time during the month of March, our hope is that the loss of one hour of time does not adversely affect any of you. Take heart in the Holy Scriptures, where the Apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 3:13, 14, But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. May we all imitate the fa...Continue reading
