Another member healing: I too had a healing of hay fever many years ago. Before my mother became a Christian Scientist, she would give me shots to control the sneezing, coughing and runny eyes. I resisted these as they were painful. Finally, I learned enough in Sunday School to use the prayer I learned to have a healing. I completely rejected the idea that anything that was not from God could be real and cause me harm. I was probably 8 or 9 years old when I stopped having bou...ts of sneezing. When I was 10 I got a kitten that I loved dearly. Every time I was near her, I started sneezing. This didn't stop me from hugging or loving her. One day I sat down with her in my arms and talked to her that God didn't make her to cause me problems. We loved each other and nothing could change that. I wasn't going to get rid of her and I was not going to believe the lie that she could cause me harm. Very shortly thereafter, I stopped sneezing. Many years later, I would visit a friend and whenever her cat walked into the room, I would start sneezing. This went on for a couple weeks and we laughed about it, because it would happen even if I didn't see the cat. Then one day I woke up and realized I was being mesmerized by mortal mind and was accepting a material picture about myself and the world. I immediately put a stop to that acceptance and claimed my identity as a child of God. I claimed that I had had a healing of hay fever and that healings in Christian Science were permanent! That was the end and I can be around animals, flowers, etc. without any symptoms or fear. Healings that come from God using Christian Science are permanent! NV

Earth Day Testimony: It was a bright and beautiful spring day. I was working at our church booth at the annual Earth Day in the Park festival, enjoying handing out articles and talking to people about how prayer can provide spiritual solutions for environmental challenges. Visitors to our booth were happy to hear how the same power of God that showed Elijah that He wasn’t in the wind, earthquake or fire, but in the still small voice, and that Jesus used to still the sto...rms and walk on the water is still here for us to experience today. At lunch time I left the booth to run a quick errand, and as I was walking to my car I suddenly felt attacked by a severe case of hay fever. That afternoon I was unable to see well in the sunlight and I went through a roll of paper towels blowing my nose. The other church members working at the booth were lovingly praying for me and engaging with our visitors for which I was deeply grateful. After the Earth Day festival was over, I was able to help a little with the cleanup but had a rough drive back home because I could barely see. All I could think of was getting into the shower, which I call my water-closet because of Jesus’ instruction in Matthew 6:6 when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. Sure enough, during my short shower I was inspired to pray about defending my consciousness against any form of hatred of the spiritual truths that we were sharing that day. As Mary Baker Eddy wrote in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Clad in the panoply of Love, human hatred cannot reach you. (pg. 571:18-19). A panoply is a complete suite of armor or protective covering, and thinking about that washed all the symptoms away. I was filled with gratitude for the love and support of my friends who were with me at the park, and I stepped out of the shower completely free. I am extremely grateful for this instantaneous healing, and for knowing that the same Truth that healed me can heal all of the challenges the earth is facing today. AW
