What size tree do you think this chipper can chuck? Winning guess gets a virtual high 5!
Next time you see a wildland firefighter, thank them! They often walk through smoke, putting their lives at risk, to save our community. We appreciate our wildland firefighters.
Congrats to some of our newest graduates and recruits! We're excited to have you as part of the Firestorm family.
We love when we get to work locally, with places like Butte College, to help with land management! Fuel reduction projects helps reduce the chance of ignition, which for Butte County, we know is crucial!
Thumbs up to getting some Fuel Reduction work done at Butte College!
What do you think, are they having a leg day or an arm day? #gettingitdone

Teamwork makes the dream work, or something like that! In our line of work it’s more like teamwork, puts the fire out!
The best path forward, is a clear one! Chris Sylva, Richard Seferian and Michal Folia do some repair work, chipping the way for a clear road.
Kris Smith bucks up a fallen snag over a road during some suppression repair on a fire we worked on recently.
As you might imagine we've had a busy summer, some stats from September alone.
Enjoying the views at 7,000 ft on the Red Salmon Complex. What do your current views look like?
How many people get to say they spent their work day surrounded by California’s oldest known ponderosa tree? Found in Bear Wallow Meadow Paul Murphy, Gavin Tinker and Kyle Campbell taking a minute to enjoy it. We constructed the line and prepped around this tree.
Trees down! It’s time to create some defensible space. When’s the last time you checked out your defensible space?
Update: Great news!! Jon is now home with his dog Anthony (who was ecstatic to see him) and on his way to a full recovery! He has a journey ahead of him but has the heart and spirit to make it happen. His medical team is impressed with how well and quickly he is healing and progressing which is in alignment with his goal to get back on the line fighting fire with his crew. Jon is very thankful and touched with the outpouring of love and support from everyone. Knowing he has s...uch a big group behind him is making the healing process much easier so please continue to reach out to him. He is looking forward to hearing from you. He again wanted to thank everyone for all their love and support. And a big thank you to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation and the Firefighters Burn Institution for all their help and support to him and his family. The gratitude goes beyond words! Please consider making a donation today so these organizations can continue to help firefighters in need. https://ffburn.org/ https://wffoundation.org/
Another before/after of some work Firestorm did in Reno this summer for the Sierra Canyon HOA! We love seeing HOA’s being proactive and doing their best on fuels reduction maintenance.
