What defines you? Is the the clothes you wear? The car you drive?... The hair on your head? NO. Your vibe defines you. How people feel when you walk into a room defines you. Your PASSION defines you. For me, it was time to call the ball. Walk into a new decade with a new look. Goodbye hair, hello 2020.

So we are at the airport and Delta says No Way!!! So we adapt, cut here and there and have paintings, no frames ... must not miss auction

As an artist, one of the hardest things you can do is create something for another artist. Someone you admire, love, and respect. Arlen was more than a friend to me, he was an inspiration. A man who trusted his vision and created regardless of what others thought. This piece was hard for me. How do you bottle up so much into one painting? How do you do Arlen proud and create something that will remind those of us who are left behind to never stop trusting that little creati...ve voice? After Arlen's celebration of life, Corey pulled up to the shop on Smoothness, and I had to take a picture right where it sat. I knew this bike had to be the center of my piece. Arlen reflected into the green paint, his signature drink in the foreground, all slowly losing its color and dissolving into thin air; the magic somehow gone with him. It is, "Last Call".

What is in a name? POP flamingo started with my eldest daughter Brooke about 25 years ago. I was sitting at my dining room table, working with a long time friend and colleague on juvenile product, and Brooke wanted in on the inventing action. "I have an idea" she began, searching for validation and support. ... She told us of a can, like a soup can, that had a big round button on it, and when you pressed the button "POP FLAMINGO" a hot steaming turkey feast would pop out of the can and on to the dinner table, ready to eat. I told Brookie what a great idea it was, but the "pop flamingo" part would prove difficult to create. My friend Khipra jumped into action, rendering her idea on a sheet of paper, telling her what a great idea it was. From that day forward, anytime we had an idea that sounded great, but was just outside the realm of possibility, we deemed it "pop flamingo". It became a term we used a lot over the years, almost being used interchangeablely with something that was "too good to be true" or just plain magic. When we bought the boat, I knew I wanted it to be full of seemingly impossible surprises. There isn't anything else it could be... It is pop flamingo.

Hey guys! I've been on a bit of an Instagram hiatus, and it's time to bring you all up to speed on a little project I've been working on. Meet POP FLAMINGO, my boat!... One of the first things we had to do after buying it, was name it! I wanted this boat to be more than a boat, I wanted it to be an experience. I want it to be magic; and pop flamingo is just that. It's taking the seemingly insignificant, and making it into a magic trick. It's the impossible becoming reality. In order to fully understand where this project is going, you have to understand where it came from. SO we are going to start with a little story.

On our way back to San Diego ! Had a great time in Belize for Angie’s pre birthday !
