The #1 fear of people with tax problems is that the IRS may seize their house. Showing a willingness to work with the IRS can stop a tax lien or collection process. Learn more: http://www.financial-harmony.com/can-the-irs-take-my-house/

In order to successfully settle a client’s tax debt, there are three steps a tax resolution expert should take: Order a record of debts, liens, or levies from the IRS and Franchise Tax Board so the client understands the case against them. Analyze a client’s finances and any extenuating circumstances. Records and evidence of expenses help build a client’s case.... Recommend a course of action. Negotiated settlements with the IRS include such things as a properly structured installment agreement; an Offer in Compromise; or being placed into Currently non-Collectible status. If you owe back taxes to the IRS or have received a notice of a lien on your bank account or a levy against your property, call a tax resolution expert. He or she will negotiate an agreement with the IRS that is manageable for you. Ralph was great! I had 14 years of unfiled tax returns that I didn't think I was ever, in my lifetime, going to get straightened out. Ralph guided me through the process like a pro. There were times that I was discouraged but Ralph reassured me we would work through it and we did. Ralph negotiated a monthly installment agreement between me and IRS that is very comfortable to pay every month. All in all, I am very happy with the outcome. And P.S. he saved me over $60,000 in tax liability. -- Steve R. Resolution begins with your story. Learn more: https://www.financial-harmony.com/

Come tax time, business owners can find themselves in a tough spot. If income hasn’t been set aside, businesses may have to choose between paying their expenses or paying taxes. If this is your situation, don’t panic. I have seen plenty of businesses in this situation and have helped plenty get out of it. The important point is to communicate with the IRS early to request a payment plan or some other negotiated agreement. If a spouse incurs a tax debt during the time of the marriage, that debt becomes the responsibility of both partners. However, if a partner entered the marriage with debt, that debt does not become the responsibility of the debtor’s spouse. But keep this in mind: whatever debt, penalties, or interest are incurred during the time of marriage will become the non-debtor’s burden to pay back as well. If you’re thinking of getting married but know your partner-to-be has incurred s...ome tax debt, make sure he or she resolves it now. I can help get a payment plan in place with the IRS so you can start a new life together without tax stress. If you’re like most Americans, you don’t like talking to the IRS. I do. Most tax professionals do not want to call the IRS. I love to call the IRS. The reason I can manage long waits on the phone, complicated documentation requests, and IRS-speak, is because I’ve had long experience with the system. I know how IRS agents work and what they need. I expedite the process--and save my clients’ time.... I also save my clients’ money: I collect the right paperwork for their case. I recalculate penalties and interest and trace payments. I anticipate the options and negotiate a debt payment as advantageous as possible. Ease your stress this holiday. Keep Your Assets Safe From IRS Debt People with IRS debt often ask me if the IRS can take their home. The Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights discourages seizure of a primary residence. However, a taxpayer must show they are trying to cooperate with the IRS--either by attempting to pay down the debt or offering a settlement proposal. Otherwise assets may be seized. The IRS may also garnish wages, apply levies to your bank account, or file an IRS lien (or claim) on other assets you own.... These measures can happen within months or years from the moment you miss a tax payment. Attempting to file back taxes will keep your assets safe and limit the fees and penalties you incur. I have 20 years of experience helping people negotiate with the IRS. Even people with high debt can stop the stress.
