Proud to participate in the #RedAlertRESTART campaign happening across the country this Today, September 1 in support of the live events industry and the RESTART Act. In solidarity with our fellow venues and millions of currently unemployed events workers, we will light up our venues RED tonight. This is much larger than one venue or one industry: for every $1 spent on a ticket at a small music venue, $12 are spent in the local economy. We need Congress’ support o...n the RESTART Act to save not only the live events, but the domino effect it has on our shared community and economy. Join us and shine your own red light tomorrow night, or filter your photos red with the tag #RedAlertRestart. Learn more on how to participate atwemakeevents.org and fill out the form to alert your local representatives. Don’t let events go dark! #saveourstages

Our news signing @_gvbriel made this amazing poster to support the music scene in San Francisco @bringmusichome The newest poster in our #BringMusicHome series is #SanFrancisco! This was designed by Bay Area native artist and illustrator Gabriel May (@_gvbriel). Inspired by classic and timeless design, he has demonstrated his aesthetic primarily via skin art, digital design, and traditional stationery. He currently works at UNDRGRND tattoo (@undrgrnd.sf) and is represented b...y Filterless Co. . On his inspiration for the poster, Gabriel explains, San Francisco is a beacon for so many subcultures of music and lifestyles. Deep roots of hip-hop and rock and roll, to name a few, demand a clear representation that intertwines with the city’s other iconic aspects. Musical pioneers were heard from their Victorian homes in Haight-Ashbury, and discovered in a full spectrum of venues. I've always admired the regal ceilings at places like Great American Music Hall, and felt that it spoke volumes about the division of districts. I also felt a sincere need to juxtapose two styles that represent the dichotomy of what the city was and what it is becoming. San Francisco is currently seeing more gentrification every year, pushing out the very things that once made it the counter-culture mecca it was known to be. One thing still remains, like Rudyard Kipling said, San Francisco has one drawback: tis’ hard to leave. . Proceeds from all of our posters will benefit @nivassoc’s emergency relief fund.
