So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there. I began my career in television, working on great network shows with some of the most talented people in Hollywood. The creativity I saw on set everyday was continually energizing and it’s what gave me the inspiration to step behind the camera as a director. I’ve since become enthralled with filmmaking and am grateful for the amazing places that filmmaking has allowed me to go both geographically and artistically. Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way? To succeed at anything you’re going to have struggles. But obstacles are part of the journey. In some ways, making a film is one set of challenges after another, from beginning to end. Starting with the initial writing process through to post-production, there are going to be struggles you face, to keep the movie alive. You just have to stay positive and keep going. It’s like that with anything in entertainment, though. Keep your eye on the prize, right? Cola Kat Productions what should we know? I’m very proud of the growth my production company, Cola Kat, has made in recent years. Our last three films have gotten national television distribution and it’s an honor to know that our actors are being seen in millions of homes. As a director, it’s certainly a point of pride to know my production company is helping share the art of some of the most talented actors in the business, while bringing quality content to the screen, and also adding something positive to the world. What is success or successful for you? Success to me is when I have an idea and that idea becomes an actual film for people to enjoy. It’s easy to have ideas, but making it come to fruition is the hard part. So success is getting past the hard part and making a film become a living thing. Like the old quote says, The harder I work, the more luck I have. I could also say, the harder you work, the more success you have. I think you’ll find that anyone who has reached a certain level of success will tell you that. It’s the long hours that make dreams come true.
