22nd UNAFF CALL FOR ENTRIES REGULAR DEADLINE: MAY 19 SUBMISSIONS ARE OPEN for the 22nd UNAFF, which runs from October 17 to 27, 2019 in Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, San Francisco, and Stanford University. ... UNAFF celebrates the power of international documentary films dealing with human rights, the environment, refugees, famine, homelessness, racism, disease control, women's issues, children, universal education, war, and peace. This year's theme SCALES OF JUSTICE continues our two-decade-long celebration of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, emphasizing the fight for justice and exploring possible paths emanating from it into the future. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: Documentaries only. No production year limit - but no films that are available online for free. No runtime limit - UNAFF accepts both shorts and longs. Rough-cuts or works-in-progress accepted, but please submit as close to the final cut as possible. If selected, bear in mind that UNAFF requires to receive all exhibition versions of a film no less than 10 days before the start of the festival. Preferred submission format: Blu-Ray region 0 or 1 or DVD (NTSC/PAL). Alternate submission format: Download-enabled online link with a password valid until July 31, 2019.
