Toby in his flashy yellow rain coat on this rainy day in San Diego It looks like the luck of the Irish has struck us here at Fido and Co. with a dog like Toby as March’s member of the month! Toby has been a long time member and has brought so much joy to all our staff and everyone that has the pleasure of crossing paths with him. It will mark his seventh year with us this month! His funny talking can make even the toughest days seem not so bad. There’s nothing like se...eing him prance towards the front door with one thing in mind, PLAYTIME! It’s an extra special day when his best friends Chai and Kira are here to romp around with him and snuggle all through naptime. When he’s on doggie vacation and gets to spend the night he always brings his favorite pillow pet to keep him company while mom is away. When vacation is over and mom comes to pick him up he lets you know how happy he is to see her with howls of joy. Here’s to another seven years with our talkative Toby! We believe Toby is a Poodle possibly mixed with a Tibetan terrier but no one can be sure. However, Toby does exemplify many traits from both breeds. True to a poodle’s nature Toby is very loyal to people he has bonded with and smoothers them with affection. The Tibetan terrier can be seen in him when his endearing and gentle nature comes into play. Today is one of our favorite interns last day. Alexa has been such a bright light during her time with us at Fido and Co! Good Golly Miss Molly, Cupid’s arrows have landed and it’s a direct hit! You’ve officially captured our hearts here at Fido & Company. That’s why it is our pleasure to select Molly as Member of the Month for February. She is a newer addition to our daycare group, and we couldn’t be more pleased to facilitate lots of personalized socialization and playtime for her each day she is in our care. Plus, everyone knows a pooped pup makes for a happy pup (not to mention a happy pup ...parent), so we love receiving pictures of Molly snoozing contentedly on the couch at home after many spirited hours of chasing her buddies Poe, Ginsburg, and Pavlov in our country club runs. With the unending energy that Molly displays, it is no wonder her breed the Parson Russell Terrier is known for being even more boisterous than the well-known Jack Russell Terrier. The Parson Russell Terrier was originally developed for burrowing after badgers and baying to alert its hunting companions of a find. And little Molly certainly has those renowned vocal chops, just like her Parson Terrier ancestors. Any time there is a swell of activity in our lobby, Molly lets out a distinctive screech and begins hopping higher than a jackrabbit on a trampoline in order to show she’s ready to be the center of attention!
