Congratulations to Ms. Luxon for being named the San Joaquin Region Golden Owl Award Winner!

Our SAE of the Month belongs to Morelia Vieyra! Morelia's main SAE is working for her father at his horse stables. Morelia works every day warming up horses for training, cleaning stalls, and cooling horses at the end of their workouts. Morelia has also started a sheep breeding project. Congratulations Morelia!!!

This month's Aggie of the Month is Gladys Torres! Gladys is a junior in our chapter and a part of the Ag Leadership class. This year Gladys has helped to create virtual events for our members and is a part of the cotton judging team. Congratulations Gladys!!!!!

Congratulations to Deyvet Carbajal for being named the NATIONAL PROFICIENCY WINNER in equine science placement!!!!

Congratulations to our 13 members who received their American FFA Degrees tonight!! It is an honor to add their names to our chapter history. Their achievement marks only 161 members who have earned this degree from Madera FFA and puts them in the less than .05% of FFA members who have earned this degree.

The 2020 National FFA Convention has gone virtual and starts tomorrow!! RFDTV will be showing the live sessions once again this year. Please join us as we celebrate the achievements of our American Degree recipients and National Proficiency Finalists!

Community wide canned food drive!

The cotton judging team had their first contest last weekend and placed as the 4th high team!

This months SAE of the Month Belongs to Nicole DeAnda!!!! Nicole is working as a Veterinary assistant at Madera Veterinary Center. She currently is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting kennels; feeding and managing animals in kennels; and assisting with patient care. Nicole has been working at Madera Vet Summer since late summer. She hopes to gain valuable experience and training to assist with a future placement in veterinary medicine.

Introducing our Aggie of the Month Ariana Godina. Ariana is a senior in our program and a plant lover. She is a member of the cotton and nursery landscape judging teams. Ariana served as the chapter secretary last year and is a key member of our leadership class. During her time in FFA, she has worked in the school greenhouse, landscaped homes, and grows orchids. She recently was named the California State Proficiency Winner for Diversified Horticulture.

Congratulations to our 13 graduate members who received their American FFA Degree this year! They will participate in the Virtual Ceremony in October.

Congratulations to Ariana Godina and Kimberlina for their National Proficiency Gold Awards! Both of their SAE projects were recognized as some of the top in the nation.

Congratulations to Merary Hernandez and Deyvet Carbajal for being named as National Proficiency Finalists!!!! They are one of four members from across the nation to be chosen for their area. They will interview during National Convention for a chance to be named the National Winner.
