We couldn't do what we do without our volunteers, so it's a good day when we can say WELCOME BACK! Following San Diego County's Red Tier guidelines, we've adapted our volunteer shifts to be able to welcome you back to our distribution center. Sign up here: bit.ly/FSDvolunteeropps A few things to note: Volunteers must be six years of age. All volunteers under 15 years require supervision by a parent or guardian at all times while volunteering. At this time, we are not sche...duling corporate or community groups. To help us maintain proper social distancing and COVID-19 protocols, families or individuals in the same households wishing to volunteer together need to complete our group request form. Once completed, a volunteer staff member will reach out to start the scheduling process. #NationalVolunteerMonth

By diverting more than 27.6 million pounds of high-quality food before it went to waste from over 600 locations in San Diego County and over 225 farms and packing sheds throughout California. That 27.6 million pounds of food rescued saved 24,578 metric tons of CO2 from being emitted into the atmosphere, the equivalent of taking 5,300 cars off the road for a year.
