We have received reports of damage caused by the storm at some of our parks. Our main priority is the safety of our staff and community. We are working to addr...ess immediate safety concerns by removing, repairing or cautioning off any potential safety concerns. We will be completing storm damage clean up as the weather permits. We appreciate the community notifying us of concerns they see and encourage providing park names and photos to assist us in locating any damage. To report storm damage, please send an email to [email protected].

That was quite some weather we had last night and from the looks of it, we're in for a bit more throughout the week! We have crews cleaning fallen debris along ...the Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail, but it will be an ongoing process in the coming days. Use caution on the bike trail. Watch for downed branches, flooding and maintenance staff. If you see hazardous debris on the trail or in our parks, please call 311!

Hey #RanchoCordova, have you heard? The Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail, also known as the American River Bike Trail, has been nominated for the USA TODAY 10 Best... for favorite recreation trails in North America! Our trail is one of the longest paved bike paths in the nation! Help us put the American River Bike Trail on the map by voting here: https://www.10best.com//jedediah-smith-memorial-trail-sac/. You can vote once a day in each category. Did you know that Rancho Cordova is home to 26 miles of beautiful bike paths, including a six-mile stretch along the American River Parkway? The city was also one of 51 communities throughout the US that was recognized by the League of American Bicyclists with a Bicycle Friendly Community (BFC) award in the Fall 2020 cycle. The city earned the bronze-level designation for building a bicycle friendly community, where people of all ages and abilities have access to safe street networks.
