Happening NOW at Ramona Food & Clothes Closet. And at 12:30, our FREE FARMERS' MARKET will be distributing food at the corner of 8th & D and it is, yes, FREE!

Every weekday the Ramona Senior Center provides lunch for seniors ages 60 and up on a drive-through or walk-up basis. There is a suggested donation of $5 but it is not required. With each meal, there is a light breakfast for the next day included. For our homebound or quarantining neighbors, they do meal deliveries on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. There is still time to sign-up for Ramona Food and Clothes Closet's Share Your Christmas program which will be held on December 17, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the store. Parents can choose a free, new, unwrapped toy (worth approx. $25) for each of their children (ages 0 to 12), and stocking stuffers. Each family receives a board game, a craft, and a food box (approx. 25 items), plus a gift card toward a turkey or ham. Registration is required. Our faithful workers spent all of yesterday afternoon getting ready, and today, October 9, we will be distributing food at our FREE FARMER'S MARKET. Just come to the corner of 8th & D Streets between 12:30 - 2:30 with your car trunk open and your mask on. No questions asked!

We are accepting donations of $25 Stater Brothers gift cards to be given to our Ramona seniors, to be distributed by the sheriff's department through the Ramona Senior Center. (Yes, that's a long list of cooperation!) If you would like to participate, you may bring the cards to the office at 404 8th Street any time before December 6. Thank you so much for your generosity!

This excellent program has been extended past the original Sept. 9 end date. If you are a senior, immune-compromised, and have difficulty obtaining or preparing meals, this could be a wonderful, free opportunity for you to have meals delivered to your door. As always, stay safe and stay hopeful!
