Let’s start the new year off right with a physical activity every day! Here is your 31 Days of Fit Fun list for the whole family. 1. Tippy-toes. Do one thing on your tippy toes (e.g.: brush your teeth, walk around the house, clean your room). 2. Line walk. Pretend you are on a tightrope and walk around placing one foot right in front of the other for 2 minutes.... 3. Dance session! Put on your favorite upbeat song and dance to it for at least 3 minutes. 4. All fours. Get down on all fours and crawl to 4 different places in your house. 5. Pushups. Do five pushups (modification: instead of being on your toes, do pushups from your knees). 6. Toe touches. Lay on your back with your legs straight up. Pull your chest up and try to touch your toes 6 times for each side. 7. High knees. Run in place and bring your knees up past your waist 7 times on each leg. 8. Wing flaps. Flap your arms up and down as fast as you can for 8 seconds. 9. Wall touch. Run around your house and touch nine different walls. 10. Squats. Get low and keep your knees in line with your ankles 10 times. 11. Plank. Get on your toes and palms and hold a straight position for 11 seconds. 12. Sky reach. Reach your hands up as high as you can 12 times. 13. Circle spin. Spin around in a circle 13 times. 14. Backward walk. Walk backwards for 14 seconds without bumping into anything. 15. Windmill arms. Stretch your arms out and move them around in circles 15 times. 16. Butt kicks. Run in place while letting your feet lightly tap your booty 16 times. 17. Crunches. Lay down, knees bent, feet on the floor and lift your chest up 17 times. Don’t strain your neck, instead imagine your chest is being pulled up by a string. 18. March! Stomp around for 18 seconds. 19. Hop like a bunny. Get in touch with your inner rabbit and hop 19 times. 20. Touch your toes. Bend down and touch those tootsies 20 times. 21. Skip around the house. Get those legs hopping for 21 seconds. 22. Clap behinds. Clap behind your body and then in front of it 22 times. 23. Balance on one leg. Stand on one leg for 23 seconds (hint: if you have a hard time balancing, choose one non-moving spot to stare at). 24. Jump up and down. See if you can jump higher every time while you jump 24 times. 25. Run in place. Find a spot and run in place for 25 seconds. 26. Criss-cross feet. Jump up, then cross one foot in front of the other and on the next jump, switch your feet. Do this 26 times. 27. Wiggle. Let your arms and legs go crazy and wiggle it out for 27 seconds. 28. Punch the air. That’s right, punch the air with both fists for 28 seconds. 29. Jumping jacks. Get those arms and legs moving 29 times. 30. Crab walk. Walk around like a crab as fast as you can for 30 seconds. 31. Jump rope. Ready for your last day of January? Jump that rope 31 times (If you don’t have a jump rope, just pretend you are holding a jump rope and make the same motions). See more
