CMC Global Launch schedule and workshops! ICYMI we have a missions director and his name is Steve. Steve and his family live in San Dimas, about 20mi from the Bobcat Fire. By grace, they are doing fine and are trying to stay home as much as possible. We know many of you are affected by distress this week. Wherever you are, we pray that God will keep you and your families safe in His refuge.... God-willing, Steve and his trusty co-director Audrey will attend CMC Global Launch in a couple weeks. We were able to supply 150 backpacks filled with school supplies, snacks, and a blessing for the students staying at Union Rescue Mission. During this pandemic, schools have gone virtual and distance learning is the new normal. May these backpacks be an encouragement for the school year and may each student know the love of Jesus! #blessedtobeablessing #fcbclovesla #generationalgenerosity

Historical Moment: Annual Members Meeting via Zoom. Praise God for how He continues to work. Here's some of the survivors who made it to the end of the nearly 5 hour meeting.

We were blessed to be able to support the frontline workers at Union Rescue Mission today with 85 lunches and care packages (filled with essentials, snacks, and a note/prayer). Looking forward to dropping off 150 backpacks for the many students sheltering there and starting distanced learning next week. Stay tuned. Marta Patricia Arballo Ruiz lives with four other people, which includes her daughter and grandchildren; they moved in with her so that they could have better-l...iving conditions. Their old house was built 32 years ago; it was just a small room made of old used wood and the roof was made of tarp. Every time it rained, they would get wet. The kids would have bronchitis and catch colds frequently. Marta let us know that they’re going through a hard season right now. She isn’t currently working due to COVID-19 since she is both diabetic and hypertensive. Although she is being paid half of her salary by her employer, it’s not nearly enough to cover all of their expenses. In February, Marta and her family received their new home! She told us she was so happy that in their new house, they did not get wet when it rained. Their family is now able to spend time together enjoying one of their favorite activities, having movie nights together at home. Marta’s biggest dream is that her grandchildren will be healthy and never get sick. Receiving a home was an experience that I will always keep in my heart, thank you.
