We know, not as exciting as before and after photos;)...but...have you wondered what we do with the X-rays we take? This is part of what we do! We make measurements to help guide our treatment decisions, like if and where teeth should be moved, if teeth need to be removed, or to predict how our movements will change the soft tissue. In our office, we also trace our X-rays in 3D. We'll show you what that looks like in a future post. These photos show how much the teeth and soft tissue changed during treatment of a growing patient (adolescent). Even though the teeth were very crowded on the upper arch, we didn't want to take teeth out. We were able to treat this case successfully without removing teeth.
