This International Women’s Day we celebrate our co-founder, Toby Garrone. She is the mover and shaker behind the scenes of all things Far West Fungi - her enthusiasm for new projects is contagious and her problem solving skills are second to none. As the only woman in a family business operated by five men, she is both the ear and the heart of the company; the listener, and the harmonizer. The one who truly understands how all the moving parts of the company intersect, ensur...ing fluidness throughout the farms, warehouse, retail stores, and farmers markets. A mainstay at farmer's markets for over 30 years, Toby has not only been behind the scenes, but always right out front, relishing in her customers’ excitement over mushrooms. You can see Toby’s mark on so much of Far West Fungi today, where the guiding principles are centered on education, honesty, and care.
