Like many privileged business owners, we have spent the last week staying still, taking in the fullness of the present moment. As we reflected, we took stock of the values we hold and asked ourselves if we have lived these values to their fullest and how we can apply them to support the Black Lives Matter Movement. We share these values as a public commitment and invitation for the community to hold us accountable to the values we espouse, both as business owners and as citizens. We want to clearly and authentically communicate that we are steadfastly committed to the path that bends toward justice and are willing and humble allies to the cause.

Many small businesses owners are doing our best to paint a rosy picture of our fight to survive this crisis, but the story has many more angles and layers of uncertainty.
