Our new personal protective equipment... can’t wait to see you all soon!

Dr. Sarah Phillips, D.D.S./Family Tree Dentistry 25.10.2020

Good afternoon! I’m sure many of you are wondering when we will be seeing patients. We are currently seeing all of the emergencies that have been waiting for 2 months. The hygienists are actively making phone calls to all of those who had hygiene appointments and are answering any questions. We are planning on opening regularly the week of June 8th, but we are needing to space our patients out for the day to allow for social distancing and certain protocols in place. If you h...ave any N95 masks we are accepting donations as well! We have a limited supply and anything is appreciated. We will be calling everyone scheduled in June and July asking if they would like to keep their appointments since everyone has different circumstances. Prescreening questions and protocols are in place during this time. If you have any questions please feel free to let us know. Can't wait to see you all soon! Thanks! FTD Staff

How our new HEP A filters work!

Dr. Sarah Phillips, D.D.S./Family Tree Dentistry 18.09.2020

Did you know, at our office you can get a permanent crown delivered the same day? Our in-office CEREC machine offers advanced imaging and on-site milling technology that enables our dentists to craft custom designed crowns in just one visit! We also do custom staining to make the crown look as natural as possible. Lab crowns can take several days or even weeks before they arrive back at our office. With advances such as the CEREC in-office milling system, the process is significantly minimized at your convenience. CEREC crowns also do not require gooey dental impressions, the impression is taken digitally with our intraoral camera. The intraoral camera takes 18 images per second, making the impression 50% more accurate than lab-fabricated crowns. Come in and schedule your in-office CEREC crown today!

Good Afternoon! As many of you know the office is currently closed due to COVID-19 and we are only accepting emergency patients at this time. We wanted to share some things that Dr. Phillips has been doing to improve the office once we open. Your safety is our biggest concern and it is our job to ensure that it is safe to treat essential patients once we open. We have added multiple air purifying systems to each room called HEP A filters. These filters reduce up to 99.97 perc...ent of harmful germs, dust, pollen, mold spores, and other allergens as small as 0.3 microns from the air! COVID-19 virus often travels in the air ranging in size between 0.5-3 microns. These filters also have a UV-C light to kill airborne germs and viruses. Staff will be using personal protection equipment such as N-95 masks, respirators, level 3 masks, cover-alls, face shields, safety goggles, bonnets, and much more, although we have a limited quantity at this time. Any donations are greatly appreciated. Each patient will go through a thorough screening as well before treatment. We thank you for your cooperation during this time and hope to see you soon. Stay Safe! - FTD STAFF See more

Good morning! Per the California Dental Association, we have been advised to close our office due to COVID-19 effective 03/16-03/30. We will be seeing emergency patients ONLY and will try our best to reschedule your appointments in the near future. Our main priority is making sure that you, your families and our staff are safe and we will make the best effort to help flatten the curve of the COVID-19 virus. Thank you for your understanding. Please give us a call if you have a dental emergency and we I’ll try our best to make sure you’re well taken care of. Please see attached pictures for the protocol we will be using until further notice. Thanks for understanding. Stay safe. Family Tree Dentistry Staff

For those of you that haven’t already heard, our beloved office manager/RDA, Carolina (Cat), is going through a difficult time right now and needs all the help and support she can get. Her partner, Anthony, had a major heart attack and has been in the hospital for several days. With that being said, there are a lot of expenses that need to be taken care of. We would like to take some of that stress off of them so a GoFundMe has been created. If you could please donate or at least share this post we would really appreciate it. Anything helps We love you Cat & Anthony! With love, Your FTD staff

TOOTH BRUSH TALK Do you know the benefits of an electric toothbrush? Your daily oral care routine at home is one of the most important things you can do to maintain good oral health (in addition to coming in for your professional cleanings). According to the American Dental Association, electric toothbrushes provide superior plaque removal when compared to regular manual toothbrushes. Many people think electric toothbrushes are easier than a manual toothbrush because it does ...all the work for you. Most are equipped with a timer as well as a rotating and/or oscillating head that loosens plaque. Family Tree dentistry recommends Oral B electric toothbrushes. As a convenience we have partnered with oral B to give our patients the best price possible $99.99 plus a $20 Mail-in rebate! Invest in your smile.

DID YOU KNOW???? More than 500 bacterial species can be found in plaque! Brushing alone does not remove the bacteria that live below the gums. The bacteria can cause periodontal disease. This chronic inflammatory disease is caused when bacteria in plaque, below the gum line, leads to swelling, irritation, and sometimes receding gums and tooth loss. Periodontal disease has been linked to many chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, rheumatoid arthritis, Alz...heimer’s disease and even cancer. Brushing and flossing at least twice a day, as well as getting professional cleanings regularly can help prevent periodontal disease. Happy flossing!
