We are back to normal services but extra care will be taken to prevent the spread of the virus. You will need to call us (707) 571.2020 from your call upon arrival and we will let you know when we are ready to begin your visit. Upon entering the office we ask that you be wearing a mask (we do have one to provide to you if necessary) and sanitize your hands. In the exam room we will take your temperature along with recent health history. We desire to have as few patients as po...ssible in the office at one time, one at a time when possible. If someone other than a parent or caregiver is with you we prefer to have them wait in your vehicle. These precautions will remain in place as long as the Shelter in Place Order is in effect.
Due to COVID-19 we will be reducing our office hours until the Shelter in Place order is removed. We will be open Monday & Friday from 9 to 1 and Tuesday & Thursday from 1 to 5. We are available for emergency appointments on the days we are closed. You can call or text us at 707-571-2020 or e-mail ([email protected]) with your symptoms, as well as a photo if your eye is red/swollen and we will get back to you with an appointment time. If you need to order cont...act lenses or supplements, you can do that electronically via text or email ([email protected]) as well as by phone. Again, just call or text us at 707-571-2020. On the days we are seeing patients we will adhere to CDC guidelines: Surfaces will be continually wiped down, hands washed regularly, and we will continue to wear face masks and supply them for patients as well. These are challenging times for us all and adjusting to our new normal is a work in progress. We will continue to provide eyecare to meet your needs.
With the extension of the Shelter in Place requirement into the first week of May and potentially beyond, we have adopted new office hours that will make our services available for urgent care needs. We will not be seeing patients for routine eye exams unless you have an urgent need for new eyeglasses or contact lenses. If you are seeing well with your current vision prescription and you need to have its expiration date extended so you can order new eyewear or contact lenses..., we will do so. But if you have an urgent need and your vision has changed, we will see you for an eye exam. If you have an ocular health need such as sudden vision changes, an eye infection, pain in and around your eyes, or other eye health related concerns, please call the office and we will get you in for the care you need. Our reduced office hours will be : Mondays and Fridays from 9 AM to 1 PM and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 PM to 5 PM When you are notified that your eyeglasses or contacts are ready for you, please come in during these new hours. You won’t need an appointment to pick them up. We will ask you to sanitize your hands and put on a mask when you enter the office. We value you as our patients and want to provide the eyecare you need during these unusual times, but we do ask that you not come into the office if you have any virus symptoms, particularly a fever or a cough. Again, thank you for choosing Family Optometry as your eyecare provider and God bless you during these difficult timesDr. Middleton To Reach Us: Call or Text us at: 707-571-2020 or Email us at: [email protected]
