Today's Black History lesson

Today the members of The Journey continued the converation about the importance of Teamwork. We specifically focused on things that sabotage Teamwork. Ecclesiastes 4:9 was our guided scripture. We talked about the crab in the bucket mentality how we have to be aware of not only the positive attributes we can bring to a group, but also the negative attributes that can hinder the growth of a group, movement, etc. We agreed to individually reflect and ask God to reveal to us th...e negative things that keep us from supporting and helping one another to progress. We hope you join us in this effort to grow spiritually. See ya next Wednesday at 7pm in the Allen House!

Good Morning, I am excited to announce that The Journey Young Adult Ministry is about to embark on a new "Journey" to bridge the gap between old and new. This Wednesday at 7pm we will be presenting our first communication and technology workshop to the members of the adult bible study on the Plaza level. The epic event is part of the Intergenerational movement to increase the communication and partnership between the Millennial, Baby Boomer, Gen X generations. There is a lot... to cover when it comes to technology, so we decided to discuss the basic fundamentals. Here are the areas we will cover: How to set up email account on your PC and smartphone How to connect to Wi-Fi on your smart phone, how to text and send text message, and how to send pictures on your smartphone The benefits and purpose of social media How to create a Twitter and FB account. We will give some brief background information on each topic, show a short video tutorial, and then walk the members through the process. We will have a member of the Journey at each table to assist in the process. We would love it if you could join us tomorrow night. This will be one of many workshops to come!
