In case anyone was wondering, the cold really slowed down our garden. We pulled everything that was in 1-7 gallon pots out of the greenhouse just before Mother's Day and sure enough, fickle nature tricked us. We should have a lot of food by the end of July, nothing died except one sunflower, but things slowed down a bit. Geez we couldn't even feel safe to plant directly until June 1st. We still have some mounds to build up and plant, and I'm still planting from several trays of starts too and 1/4 gallon pots. Another strange year, we'll let you know when we have veggies for sale.
Round one is doing well. Seeds are popping and many more transplants to come. Even the outside testers are popping off. Here’s hopping for no May 25th frosts.
We hate to do it but.... Ground squirrels won’t shut us down this year.
Just letting everyone know that a major ground squirrel colony has ruined our year. We'll be back in business next year.
