Hello everyone, The Fallbrook Pop Warner board for 2021 has open positions that need people willing to help make the season happen. Here is the list: Little Scholars, Fundraiser, Secretary, PR & Treasurer.... I have held the positions of Fundraiser and PR (one or the other or both at times) over the last five years and it is time for me to step back and just be my athlete's mom this next season. I have several sponsors ready to go whom we have worked with consistently for five years (or longer). I have suggested timelines and how-to's for both positions (PR and Fundraising) AND I can be available to answer questions. In my opinion, both are fun for different reasons...I loved PR because it was behind the scenes, you could do it around your existing schedule and taking photos of the athletes (or collecting them from team moms) is something everyone loved to see on our Facebook page. I loved Fundraising because I enjoyed getting to know so many businesses over the years and I liked to see how much money I could raise to offset what the parents had to pay for. The league NEEDS to have someone actively seeking sponsorship and bringing in money (fundraising) and someone who can promote on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and so on). Feel free to ask me any questions (Laura Cherevchenko) regarding those two positions and I'll be glad to answer them, but please consider stepping up. Even though our kids never were able to take the field, the league had expenses just to stay a league and these businesses helped us stay afloat so we can have a 2021 season! This is a fundraiser where 100% of the nights donations come back to the league, so PLEASE come support our young football players and cheerleaders.... WHEN: Wednesday, November 18th from 3pm to 9:00pm. WHERE: Fallbrook Jersey Mike's (833 S Main Ave, Fallbrook, CA 92028) - in the Major Market shopping center. WHY: We need money for pad replacement, partial scholarships and money to cover costs that occurred even though we were not able to have a fall season. Anyone can come support this and get a great deal. Basically, you donate $4.00 to Fallbrook Pop Warner (at Jersey Mike's) and your sub is free! You can only take advantage of this deal in person so bring family and friends - they have to be present and each person must donate $4 to get the free sub (or you could say your sub is just $4.00 - which is a great deal and you support a great cause!) PRIZES: We have three $20 gift certificates from DICK'S Sporting Goods and three $5.00 gift certificates from Yogurt Palace to give away so come in your Pop Warner spirit wear and put on some spirited face masks (because you know you have to wear one). Board members will give these away each hour to the supporters of Pop Warner! Happy National Coaches day! I know many of you are bored and disappointed that we didn't have our normal season. You are probably catching up on household "to-do" lists that have always fallen to the wayside due to coaching each year (which probably has many coaches wives very happy).
