Covid has been here for 9+ months now....and winter is looming. Mental health issues related to our lock down and the pandemic are especially hard for people wi...th depression and other mental health disorders. NAMI, The National Alliance on Mental Illness has a 24-hour helpline: 800-950-6264. The relapse and overdose rate has increased by 30% since March 2020. I’m asking my small corner of FB to follow suit: Could any two of my Facebook friends just copy and repost to share the helpline far and wide? Just two. Any two. Say done. See more

I'm asked daily when I'm on system replacement estimates, why do I need that filter every other company is using a standard 1". Well we think about your health not just being the low price leader.

One of my crews were on a furnace and A/C replacement job today. They went to replace the A/C disconnect outside as we normally do, they turned off the breaker in the main feed panel marked A/C (this is the panel with the electric co. meter with A/C and subpanel breakers in it) but still had power at the A/C disconnect. They then turned off all the 220v breakers in the subpanel, still had power, so they turned off the 150amp main breaker for the house, still had power. Glad t...hey pay attention and verify power with a meter. My lead guy noticed that the anti-tamper crimped on wire on the power company’s side of the panel where the power comes in had been cleanly cut and put back on so it wouldn’t look out of place. He opened up that side of the panel and found the 2 wires for the A/C have been connected directly to the feed wires from the power company. So no way for us to kill the power to the A/C and A/C usage is not metered so someone has been stealing power. Again Lucky no one got hurt or even killed by an unprotected power supply to the A/C. Any problem with the A/C could cause a house fire without a breaker that should trip. And you could see where the aluminum wires have been getting hot. See more

If you have a company installing parts like this in you AC. Not strapped or anchored and in the shipping box. They don’t know what they are doing. And worse sold you an inferior NOT MADE IN USA part.

To our customers. So what’s different about Coronavirus than the flu? There’s no vaccine (yet), we don’t know if it will slow in warm weather, and we don’t understand the full extent of the illness. What’s the same? Just like the flu symptoms can range from cold-like to causing pneumonia. And just like with the flu, people at risk of death from pneumonia (primarily the elderly and those with respiratory ailments) are at risk from the Coronavirus. Quote from the World H...ealth Organization - The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, tiredness, and dry cough. Some patients may have aches and pains, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat or diarrhea. These symptoms are usually mild and begin gradually. Some people become infected but don’t develop any symptoms and don't feel unwell. Just like we do not panic over the flu we will not panic over this. We will be smart and prepare to minimize the effect of this illness (and any other one) on our staff and customers. What can we do? Stay at home if you are unwell. Seek medical attention if you have difficulty breathing. Eliminate handshakes and other unneeded contact. The incubation period for Covid-19 is between 1 14 days. They think 5 days is the most common. Regularly and thoroughly wash hands with soap and water to kill any possible viruses that may be on your hands. Modern plumbing (clean water and sewage disposal) was a main cause for improving the health of the human population. Use it to stay healthy. Keep your distance from anyone coughing or sneezing 3 feet or more. What we may do if cases are found in this area Have CSRs ask if anyone in the home is sick or has recently been sick. We do not want to pick up the virus and spread to our other customers. Require employees that are ill to stay at home until the type of illness is known. Increase cleaning in the office. Wear gloves on all service calls and clean tools that were used after each call. See more
