Jerry Kennedy (1960-2017) passed away on November 13, 2017. He was manager of Work Training Center's Pioneer Janitorial Services for 5 years. He managed four crews, two in Oroville and two in Chico. Jerry will be missed. When Pioneer Janitorial Services first started one of the clients came up with the name Pioneer Janitorial Services because it was the first janitorial company to employ Adults with Developmental Disabilities.

Work Training Center nominated Transfer Flow for a 2017 Excellence in Employment Award, which recognizes demonstrating a commitment to diversity in the workplace by expanding job opportunities for persons with developmental disabilities. CEO Lisa Johnson accepted the award from Don Krysakowski, Executive Director of Work Training Center and Affiliated Programs. Since 2013 Transfer Flow has been contracting with two of our Work Training Center businesses. Our Pioneer Janitorial Services has a contract with them for all their janitorial/custodial cleaning needs. Transfer Flow also, uses our Feather River Opportunity Center to perform chamfering and sanding for the ramps for handicapped accessible vans.
