We finally got in a few photos of us before the arrival of baby Lowell Here’s a final look at us as well-rested, thriving young bucks. We’re either brilliant for delivering him in the slow-season, or absolutely bonkers for kicking off another season with an infant as first-time parents

We finished up our 2021 seed purchase We put a heavy focus on well-known, standard crops plus some fun, colorful, unique crops and varieties that spice up our CSA and farmstand selection Feels good to get the orders in. Getting a little bit of a late start, but finally digging into the seed catalogs to start purchasing for the 2021 season We generally have a pretty good idea of what varieties work best for us, so purchasing takes much less time than it did a few years back. The goal this year is to buy enough seed! With the craziness of last year, so many of our tried and true, preferred varieties sold out and left us to purchase varieties we’d never grown before. Let’s give it up for Ben who’s been handling the harvest solo for Tuesday & Friday deliveries since I’m basically on pregnancy-related house-arrest (doc’s orders). We have a variety of veggies headed to Chautauqua Natural Foods and Clendenen's Cider Works in the morning Things are looking good in the field! Weeds are an issue in some areas (dang chickweed), but on the upside, cover crop is filling in and our field has been handling the wet weather really well.
