Make yourself something really nourishing today. Here you see my favorite brunch salad. Parm fried eggs over a bed of @starbrightacresfamilyfarm arugula and basil with local peaches, marcona and slivered almonds & my roasted jalapeno citrus vinaigrette. We all need comfort after that shit show tornado fire storm of a debate. Biggest hope is they mute the opponents mic for the next 2 debates. How are you taking care of yourself today? Big love

Everywhere I look in my life I see friends and community. I see them on my table in my trivet, my borrowed vase, my hand blown Oaxacan glass from a long time ago trip with a lover man. I see them in the enchiladas I share w/ Chia, where the tortillas were made by Marie and Alan roasted the chicken. I see them in the flowers I grew on this lovely piece of property, I see them in me and I see love in you. Take the time to remember the beauty. And make yourself some damn enchiladas friends

Preheat oven to 400. Sear steaks for 2 min each side and then set into preheated oven. Cook for additional 5-9 min depending on size. Let rest 12 min. I then cooked the cabbage, jimmy nardellos & maters in the beef pan until they were perfectly tender. Slice against the grain. it’s what’s for dinner when smoky skies got you down & you read the news, and you scroll the medias. I suggest watching THE SOCIAL DILEMMA and exiting as much as you can outta this social media world. My self worth ain’t based on likes, it’s based on so much more. I wanna give a big time prop to my community (you know who you are) for holding me and lifting me. So much tenderness in these trying days, keep it up Care Bears!

coffee, chili , cumin dry rubbed free range local steaks . dry rub for an hour. Preheat grill to med high. Some steaks weighed around 1lb some were 8-10oz. I’d say they took between 9-13 minutes total to get them to medium rare. It’s an unbelievable flavor, a kick to the senses and is so good paired with some local heirloom tomatoes, jimmy nardellos & chard salad. Got more questions? ... dm me babes.

Wrapped it’s own armor, grilled to perfection. Remove the silky threads, gently rewrap the husks on the corn , set them in an ice water sea salt soak for 10 minutes. Set grill to medium high. Grill in 5 minute increments before turning. A total of 15 minutes. I ate it just like that straight off the grill. Didn’t need butter or anything else but add what you like. Catering books for 2021 / 2022 are exciting. Who wants to celebrate with their buds? I know I do.

I cry for this city, county, country, this world so I throw all that pain and all that sorrow into this; food. I’ll share w/ you a few tips to great food. Read a recipe like 4 times if you are making it for the first time. Write yourself a recipe in your own words. Order of operations is essential. Use high quality oils, salts & fresh spices. KNOW YOUR FARMER (know their practices). This is a fancy organic version of rice & beans. I made some santa maria pinquitos beans from ye ol’ @rancho_gordo rice with a blend of lotus foods forbidden rice + lundberg short grain brown rice, jimmy nardello peps & herbs @firstrainfarm // micro onions & summer squash thanks to @starbrightacresfamilyfarm // I really hope this country and all this divisive hate can be healed. We gotta come together. One table at a time.
