Inyo County is seeking grant applications for the Community Resiliency Grant program from nonprofit organizations that play and important role in supporting our local economy, improving the quality of life in Inyo County, and addressing unmet needs of those in our community most severely impacted by COVID-19. Inyo County recognizes that these entities continue to provide services with significant reductions in revenue due to the pandemic, so during adoption of the Inyo Count...y 2020-21 budget, the Board of Supervisors allocated $100,000 of County General Fund money to support economic and community resiliency, and to offset COVID-19 related economic hardships and disruptions to local nonprofit organizations and other government agencies. An online workshop has been scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 13, at 3 p.m. to introduce the grant program and answer questions. See the flyer for links to more information.

Inyo County is so remarkable, with such extremes, and diverse physical features. It claims the highest and lowest points in the 48-contiguous states, and the oldest trees in the world. You’ll find hot and cold, wet and dry, barren and lush, refined and common at different times and in different parts of the county. What is your favorite? Is it the deserts we have?? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Exsi31Q57NM... #inyoccounty #keepinyosafe See more

As of today, Inyo County will move to the Orange Tier, or moderate tier. With this in mind, it will be essential that everyone do their part by continuing to use face coverings, practice social distancing, and frequent hand washing. Inyo County must stay at this level for three weeks, and if the numbers and percent of positive cases stay low, we will move to the next level on October 27.
