Final clean up before assembly for this walnut piano bench. Listening to @everwellchurch is always a good choice
Chopping out some shoulders for a place where the cushion seat will rest on this piano bench.
Cleaning up the faces with the @lienielsentoolworks No4 smoothing plane. Always a pleasure using this beautiful hand plane.
Nice and snug. Not to right you have to drive it home with a hammer and not to loose it just falls in. I topically look for a tolerance to where I can push them together with hand force.
Cleaning up these mortises for a piano bench. The deign of the bench is the same as our Amortie Banc just customized to be used as a piano bench.
Nothings says welcome home quite like our Guernsey bench. The perfect place to perch, made from premium white oak with sliding French dovetails.
Adding some dowels to strengthen the mortise and tenon joint between the crest rail and spindles. Final sanding and finish to follow on Monday.
The N9 chair. This is one of my favorite angles of this chair. I wanted to design a chair that was different from most contemporary chairs in this case removing the back legs so it doesn’t stand on all fours but still looks ascetically pleasing.
The bent lamination for the crest rails came out spectacular! Now drilling the 1/2 mortises for the spindle backs and we are ready for final assembly.
The Admiral Bar as featured on @uncrate made from American walnut with brass hardware. Open dimensions are 40wide x 14 deep x 32 high.
Making the crest rails for the dining chairs in Ash. Normally I would steam bend these but unfortunately living in California accessing green wood or air dried wood is difficult. I would normally have to soak them in water for a few months before steam bending but this job needs to get completed sooner rather than later. Thankfully the laminations came out great!
Our Admiral Bar is the elegant high class socialite sure to be the center point at any party. Gracing the room as a sophisticated piece of furniture, then turning into a fully functional bar able to serve your guests all evening, the Admiral Bar gives you enough space to entertain any size gathering and easily packs away again at the end of the night. Dimensions: When closed 14"Deep x 20"Wide x 36"High Dimensions: When open 14"Deep x 40"Wide x 32"High
The brass hinges on the Admiral bar. The top doors use 1/2 Butler’s hinges and for the front doors I use @brussohardware knife hinges.
A 20 round end table in white oak with turned staked legs with through tenons and wedges exposed on the top. The unique thing about this table is the undercarriage spindles and how they don’t stager one above the other but are all on the same level.
So happy to re-release one of our most iconic pieces. As featured in @nobleman @uncrate @orangecoastmag... The Admiral bar is now available once again on our website. Made from premium walnut and solid brass hardware this timeless piece will always be the center point for a any occasion.
Re-sawing some walnut for an upcoming desk in the works for @brookewagnerdesign it’s always a pleasure working with such great talent.
N9 chair in walnut all glued up together and ready for final touches and finishing. Happy Friday everyone have a great weekend!
Steadily getting there with these dining chairs can’t wait to apply some finish to these. Also to come a little later on will be two head table chairs with high backs and arm rests.
