Upgrade for my wall charger - ChargePoint
I was the only electric Thing on the lot :) Will start the restoration part of the project soon.
Another milestone accomplished - made it to the office and back. All though, the change was not successful

I don’t have money to replace failed battery and Thunderstruck will not warranty it So, I’m downgrading the pack by replacing the missing module with the air and hold down bracket out of bed frame.

I'm happy to report that the disc brake conversion was a success! The Thing has good brakes now and it's even more joy to ride!
The only thing left is to test drive this Thing
Selling wheels and tires
Rotors drilled, taped and installed Wrong brake pads were sent with the kit, waiting for the issue to get resolved
Rotors drilled, taped and installed Wrong brake pads were sent with the kit, waiting for the issue to get resolved
And because I used 14mm studs on drums I have to drill and tap the new rotors

Baby steps - removed front drum brakes and master cylinder
And here’s the reason I got 15 wheels - empi front disc brake conversion kit
Five new 15 wheels are here
Headlights installed - before and after! The new lights are bright and drawing 1 Amp less than old ones. The process of installation was not smooth though, I had to do a lot of cutting and massaging to get them in with the 'eyebrows'.
Took the air scoops off and a bit carried away
The front passenger side needs brake rebuild waiting for parts
Got new head lights for the Thing
Had a chance to weigh the Thing - 2100lb. Original Thing weights 2200lb.
Electrical staff, trying to improve the fuel gauge
Finally figured out the Current sensor, now I can see how much amps the motor draw. Here is a shot video - take off on 3rd gear, about 530amps.
