As much as I love what I do, I am taking some time off to visit my mother and siblings in AZ. My mom turned 90 this year, and finally got her Covid vaccination after recovering from severe bout of shingles. We are now all vaccinated! Before I leave, we are fixing the fence - a labor intensive task delayed as long as possible. Peter and I are doing all the work on this! Our house backs up to an open area, so we get lots of critters at our feeders and water stations. Peter ...made a cut out in the fence for the quail. Mama can bring her babies through this opening. The hills behind the fence are loaded with rosemary bushes- I simply snip off what I need for my meal. When the fence is painted, I can start planting sunflowers and milkweed for the birds and butterflies! And I’ll have more blank spaces to fill with garden art!
