Does a Gravel Bike fit differently than a Road Bike? The answer is, it depends. Here are some photos of an excellent position on a Gravel Bike. It would also happen to be an excellent Road Bike position. Mind you, I didn't position @johnheiss24 on this bike. He did it himself based on a previous fit I had done for him. There wasn't much I could add, but I figured I could share it with you to give you some pointers. 1. Knee Angle - the range you want to fall within is 137-145... degrees. John is right there in the middle of that range. Also notice he's not pointing his toes to reach his pedals. Pointed toes could indicate a saddle that's too high. 2. Fore/Aft Position - Right at 73 degrees which is pretty standard, but can differ based on many factors. 3. Reach to Handlebar - This can be tricky. Athletes tend to lock out their arms more when inside on a stationary trainer; outside they're more relaxed. Still 80-90 degrees is a good range as long as your elbows aren't locked out (closer to 160 degrees when locked out - see pic #4) and your shoulder isn't pulled forward. Your shoulder should be relaxed when your hands are on the hoods as John's are here (pic #5).
