I’m baaaack! Just trying to get caught up again. What a roller coaster ride this has been to say the least. So happy to be back doing what I love. If I haven’t contacted you yet, please reach out. I think I got everyone scheduled back on my books. Thank-u to everyone that has been patiently waiting........I truly appreciate it. There is some of you that I still haven’t had a chance to see. The second closure pushed everyone’s appointments out. With my kids starting schoo...l it has made it even harder to navigate my schedule. For those of you that cannot wait, Becky is more than happy to see you. You can go on my website: erahairstudiohb.com and book directly with her or let me know. So excited to see everyone! Btw, check out this before and after Balayage/foilyage(before August 2019) Ummmm yea, I would say Balayages are definitely low maintenance and can hold out 2 salon closures. #balayageblondehair #ochairstylist #huntingtonbeachstylist

Prayers are much needed for our industry It’s not just about hair anymore, it’s about our livelihood. This is our career that we love. It’s not just a job. Why are we being singled out? I have spent half of my life in this industry. I have worked so hard. I remember working at Carlton hair at the Westminster mall. I would start work at 10:00am and work until 11:00pm at night. I worked my ass off to build my amazing clientele. Every single year for the past 22 years, I have ...taken countless classes to better my craft. I have invested so much time and money because I TRULY LOVE what I do. My perfectly sanitized and regulated studio is collecting dust. It sits there well equipped for me to service all my clients in a safe environment, yet we are ordered to shut our doors and cut hair outside? .. For those of you asking, Sola will not open against orders. I cannot work at my studio at this time. I strongly support my industry for anyone who would like to donate to help I will leave link below https://www.gofundme.com/f/OpenSalons @probeautyfederation #saveoursalons #youcanttakeawayourpassion #californiahairstylist #ochairstylist @ Orange County, California See more

Quarantine hair Let’s talk Post quarantine hair.... My theme song right nowwork work work work work-rihanna and drake When we got the green light, I was more than excited to go back to work...... Then I looked down at my schedule and didn’t even know where to start, as I had to rebook everyone I had to cancel from the past 3 months. With all the new guidelines put in place by state board and CDC I was no longer allowed to double book. I had 3 months of double booked appointments back to back to reschedule. I know of some stylist that are not following the protocol and hopefully state board doesn’t catch them. At the end of the day I need to protect each and every one of my clients that enters my studio. Nobody in the beauty industry went back to business as usual. We all had to book less clients in a day and mark out more time in between clients to throughly clean and sanitize. We also came back to clients with 4 to 5 inches of roots and longer hair....Which means ALOT more work than just a simple root touch-up. To anyone out there that is getting their hair done and doesn’t understand why your stylist had to raise their prices....... This is the reason why. We are doing a lot more work these days and are only allowed a couple clients a day. Please understand we have to be able to sustain our business. I know of 3 salons in my area that had to close shop permanently. It’s really sad. They predict that 25% of hairstylist will leave the beauty industry. I was so used to working with an assistant for over 20 years. Not saying I will never work with one again, but to tell you the truth I’m really really loving the one to one appointments with all my clients. I missed all the heart felt conversations See more

While my assistant and I have been EXTREMELY diligent about cleaning and disinfecting the studio after every client.....We are now having to take further preventive action to help minimize the spread of COVID-19. We believe the best way we can support the community right now is to temporarily close shop for the next 2 weeks. After which, we hope to accommodate everyone the very best I can.)These are unprecedented times, with each of us experiencing different levels of conce...rn. I think it’s okay to admit we don’t know exactly what we are supposed to do. We all have to make the right choices for our families and loved ones. As a small business owner and self employed individual Its hard to make a huge decision like this.......After seeing @organic_olivia Covid stories on her parents that are infected with the virus. I can’t even imagine having both of my parents or grandparents sick. It’s just not worth it. We should all do our part as much as we can to protect our elderly and loved ones. -Eva #coronavirusisnojoke #doyourpart #stopthespreadofcoronavirus See more

Better safe then sorry At first I thought people were over reacting . Now that everything is being canceled, postponed and shut down, I want all my clients to know I’m taking extra precaution. Just in case.... Also, if you feel like you are coming down with something , please CANCEL your appointment. I will try my very best to fit you in if you need to reschedule, once you feel better. #sharelovenotgerms #huntingtonbeach #huntingtonbeachsalon #erahairstudio

When I first started doing hair...... I could never say the word no to any of my clients. It took me many years and a lot of experience to finally realize, that I couldn’t give every client exactly what they wanted. You see, some clients would walk in with crazyrequests. And I would always try my best to give them exactly what they wanted. Even though sometimes it was just not possible. I learned along the way, that I was the hairstylist not them and that it was my job t...o educate my clients on what was realistic hair goals vs impossible hair goals. I consider myself a very knowledgeable colorist . Years of taking countless color classes, I have learned what the hair can and cannot do. I have learned how to say No very loud and clear . Clients that have been with me for a long time, know that I’m VERY realistic and very honest. I won’t sugar coat anything and I tell it like it is ( in a very polite way.) You need to understand, it comes with years and years of experience under my belt. I’m not for everyone and that’s ok. I will always protect the integrity of the hair. If I know it’s going to damage it....I’m just not going to do it.......... So, If you are looking for a new hairstylist these are some of the things we will go over on your first visit : Communication with a thorough consultation is key to be able to achieve your desired hair goals: Let’s discuss what hair color you like and how long it will take us to get you there. How often you get your hair color done? Is it something you will be able to keep up? Or is it a color you will only be able to maintain twice a year? How is the integrity of your hair? Has your hair already been way over processed? Once we come up with a game plan and we both agree that’s the best option, we will start. #hairbyeva #erahairstudio #haircolorist #balayageartist #huntingtonbeachsalon for more info click link: erahairstudio.glossgenius.com
