What is the "fascia" part of Fascial Stretch Therapy? Fascia is the vast network of connective tissue that runs through your whole body. Many injuries and loss of flexibility over time, including range of motion, involve the fascia. Fascial Stretch Therapy can resolve these - and many more - issues. https://thestretchinstitute.com/ (760) 702-7094

Today is Groundhog Day, but unlike the movie, you don't need to repeat the same day over and over with the same limitations on your body. Fascial Stretch Therapy, as pictured here, can increase your range of motion, help you obtain optimal flexibility, improve muscle performance, reduce pain and risk of injury - and that is just a shortlist of the benefits this diverse therapy provides. Skater Squats are a very challenging single-leg exercise. They require a more forward lean at the torso, making this a much more hip dominant movement.

The Slide-Board Lunge is an excellent single-leg exercise that combines single-leg strength, dynamic flexibility, and moderate instability. This is a great movement for both training and rehabilitation.

There are actually two of you, not one. The body has a left side and a right side that are completely different neurologically, respiratorily, and structurally. Sometimes one side of the body becomes over used and dominant during movement, and over time can cause pain and dysfunction. Our Postural Restoration programs keep both sides of the body accountable and optimal for pain free movement. Contact us today for an assessment.

At Equilibrium, we love single-leg strength! Here are two single leg squat variations we use with our athletes on top, Rear Foot Elevated Split Squats: With rear foot supported it will allow you to move more weight and be ideal for developing maximal strength. On bottom, Hands-Free Single Leg Squats: With the rear leg unsupported, this will place a greater emphasis on knee and hip stability. Both types are crucial for knee and hip health.

Are you someone that has pain only on the right side of your body? This client came in with right sided pain from his feet to his neck, and after running through our PRI assessment, we found out he's stuck in a pattern that has lateralized his entire body to the right. I took a shot of his insoles to confirm this, and we do see clearly that most of his life is being lived on his right side.... When your weighted on one leg(stance in walking) that entire side is compressed for a short moment until you step with the other leg and get to the other side. If you can't truly alternate and get off of that stance leg, its a life of compression on that entire side, and bad things will begin to happen. Compression gets a bad rap, but it's a perfectly normal part of movement. Compression only becomes a problem when we get way to much of it. If you're having problems, come in to get an assessment and a game plan. #fitness #wellness #prination @posturalrestoration #pain #personaltraining #rehabaddict #strong #prehab #movement #mobility #palmsprings #palmdesert #indianwells #ranchomirage
