HBO Films’ long-in-the-works Deadwood movie has begun production 12 years after the end of the premium network’s Emmy-winning Western series from David Milch. Most of that original cast is returning for the film, which takes place 10 years after the events of the series that ran three seasons from 2004-2006. Filming has finally begun on Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 10. HBO confirmed production started Friday, 10 months after the premium cable network announced the Larry David-led series had been renewed. No plot details or premiere date was given for the return of the Seinfeld co-creator’s neuroses-laced program. David’s comedy was renewed for a tenth season by HBO last December, with production set to begin in spring 2018 and a yet-to-be-determined debut date yet given. Fox is really shaking things up to get people to tune in to the second season of first-responders drama 9-1-1. Derek Jacobi and Fleabag‘s Jenny Galloway have joined the cast of Come Away, the fantasy Peter Pan-Alice in Wonderland origin story movie that stars Angelina Jolie and David Oyelowo. Brave Oscar winner Brenda Chapman is directing the script from Marissa Kate Goodhill. The pic has been shooting in the UK before moving to Los Angeles in October. Sony has released the first trailer for Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween, the Ari Sandel-directed sequel based on one of the multiple iterations of R.L. Stine’s popular book series. It was a monstrous weekend thanks to Warner Bros.'s The Meg, which devoured everything in its path en route to a nearly $150 million global debut. As a result, the weekend box office was up 5.7% compared to last weekend and over 25% compared to last year, with the top twelve grossing over $132 million.
