EPIC Ministries in Mexico

It was a great joy to host our beloved Linda Simon in our home this past weekend while she came to take care of some California DMV updates. She and her husband Andres minister in the central Mexico State of Nayarit, and it is a privilege of EPIC Ministries to support them. Like Linda said in her message at church, It’s not easy to live where we do, but we have God’s Living Word to help guide us. This beautiful rainy morning we were again able to share a morning snack with the children of Zona Norte, Tijuana. I can’t describe how much I love these children! It’s so special to experience the love that God has for each one of them. I love what we do! Esta hermosa mañana lluviosa pudimos compartir una vez más con los niños en Zona Norte, Tijuana un rico snack. No puedo describir cuánto amo a estos niños. I just got out of juvie here in Tijuana. Me and a few buddies were invited to help put on this year’s Christmas program for the inmates, and I got to teach about Ephesians 4:22-25putting off the old man and putting on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. Miles McPherson always used to say that he loved preaching in prison, because everybody is on board when you say, all have sinned. They’re ready for the next partlike, W...hat about God’s grace? Let’s get to that part! And at it’s core, that’s humility. I was challenged by that; the humility of the inmates in admitting their guilt, and their earnest attempts to draw close to God and live in a way that honors him. May God respond to them, and draw near to them, and may we all walk in the humility of a man exposed, convicted, repentant, and justified by an amazing grace. So glad to get to study with these friends ALL last week in Querétaro at Con Tu Consejo, Biblical Counseling. It was such good teaching and I will be able to use it immediately and frequently in my ministry to women and missionaries. // Estoy muy agradecida de haber podido estudiar TODA la semana en Querétaro en la conferencia de Consejería Bíblica: Con Tu Consejo.
