Many people struggle with anxiety and an overall fear of the unknown. We must realize that all of us are in this big world just trying to figure things out. That life does not come with a recipe, instructions or a guide book. Figuring things out as they come along is the state of being a human being. We can not preempt what will be, what challenges may come and what the future holds. That power will never be available to neither you or I. Letting go of the control that you s...o desperately want to have over your life will lead you to your most true happiness. The ability to live in the moment as our life is not promised to any of us. You have today. You have to make a conscious choice daily that you will not live in fear of what is to come, but rejoice in what is. There will be challenges along the way, but that is the state of being a human being. Keep pressing forward. Do not get stuck in your anxiety. Feel your feelings ("i feel afraid right now. I have anxiety about____.") But do not remain in that place. Keep practicing your coping skills. You can do this. You are strong, intelligent and resilient. You got this! See more

It is OK to say NO to your mother, your sister, your child or your best friend. The people who find it the most difficult to set healthy boundaries are empaths. The idea of hurting others is all consuming. Empaths often sacrifice their happiness, well-being and even safety as to not disappoint. They will make themselves uncomfortable in efforts to make others comfortable. They are often targets of mistreatment and disregarded feelings. You have to build your boundary creatio...n muscle! (Trust me...it's a muscle!) Repeat with me "I can't today" , "no I'm not available", "I will not be coming", "I did not like that", "I will not accept that", "you hurt me and it's not ok", "No". You got it! - Envision Therapy Practice Realize What Is. Envision What Could Be.

Our Grandparents: " Therapy is for crazy people! What's the point?!?". Millenials: " My therapist said the most interesting thing the other day!" Shame, stigma and fear of seeking help leaves us stuck. Seek help! Open up! Process your trauma! Evaluate your goals! Communicate with your partner. Practice healthy coping skills. Create boundaries. Live life!... I've opened my private psychotherapy practice. My office is located in Fairfield, California. I am thankful for this labor of love. Find me on Psychology Today, my website and my Facebook page. There's more to come! Meashline Titus, LCSW www.envisiontherapy.net [email protected] Realize What Is. Envision What Could Be.
