Results from our initial experiment with video recording - this is me giving an evaluation of Kathy's great icebreaker. One thing I learned from watching this video is that I have an odd habit of starting sentences with a long "I...." that is almost like an "um".

Hi BETMers, As some of you may have heard, UC Berkeley is closed for the week due to air quality issues. We thought about canceling the meeting, but that would make two weeks in a row of no meetings. That would really hurt our momentum. ... Then we thought - we're entrepreneurs. It's a point of pride for us that we keep going in spite of adversity. And entrepreneurs should adapt and innovate to handle changing conditions. Thanks to Nadia Liu, we've found a new location for tonight. We are going to meet at a restaurant called Nico's. The address is 1508 Walnut Street in Berkeley's Gourmet Ghetto, not far from the campus. We'll meet at the same time as usual. It will be a bit unlike other meetings in terms of space - there might be some other people in the room - but we will adapt and make the best of it. We would really appreciate it if everyone can make an effort to attend - we want to boost the club's energy going into the end of the year.
