REASON #5: You don’t have to wear epaulettes, and it’s more fun... We’ll start with the dress code it’s whatever you want! I used to teach in the Caribbean, and Rainbow sandals were my uniform of choice. I now wear shoes ;), but when you fly with an independent instructor, the experience is YOURS. For the flying trying to maximize efficiency throughout your training is great, but it can also be exhausting. Sometimes you just need a break. The Bay Area offers a unique set of ways to do that. Hungry? How about lunch in Half Moon Bay? It’s a 15 minute flight. Lonely? COVID will do that. Tell your friend up in SF to drive up to Battery Spencer, or your sibling in Oakland to hike Mount Diablo...we’ll wave to them from the air! Bored? Let’s fly together to San Luis Obispo, visit the famous Thursday Night Farmers Market, and learn about flying at night on the way home. Evidence shows clearly that positive experiences make for better learning.
