We partner with the US Postal Service to make sure Elections run smoothly. The USPS Office of Inspector General recently published a report detailing the results of the US Postal Service Performance during the 2020 Election. While it said the Postal Service typically implements extraordinary measures in the run up to Election Day, USPS saw its on-time delivery of ballots jump from 83% in 2018 to 94% last year. And, while the US Postal Service works hard to make sure all ba...llots mailed on time get to us, the Elections Division would like to remind Contra Costa residents to vote by mail and vote early to ensure delivery of your ballot on time.
