We are excited to share that we are partnering with UW-Madison College of Engineering on their smart cities and highway infrastructure initiatives, which will ultimately accelerate and support the advent of automated/autonomous driving. The goal is to exploit the links between all the supporting infrastructure, such as sensors embedded with roads, light posts, street and highway signs and markers, which will assist with the localization of the vehicle as it moves through its... environment. These Intelligent infrastructures will communicate (V2X) with intelligent autonomous vehicle systems in order to ensure the ultimate functional safety for both passengers and pedestrians. Further these component systems will need Functional Safety solutions, which will expand both the knowledge and market domains, in which Encore Semi can develop key supporting roles.
